Waze brings Google Assistant integration to Canada

English-speaking Waze users in the country can now use Google Assistant to access the app's features hands-free. It's rolling out to both Android and iOS. Waze brought this feature to the US last year. You can now ask "Hey Google" to report traffic, incidents, or hazards; help navigate; search; or ask Assistant questions without leaving the app. Android users can also set Google calendar appointments, play music, and make phone calls.

Rumoured LG Wing with its flip-out second screen shows up in video

LG has been testing out dual-screened smartphones in the last few years. Its previous two attempts, the Velvet and V60, needed a separate second screen accessory to make this happen. A new rumoured device called "Wing" is seen in a new video, showing off an attached secondary display. The phone you see in the short clip is said to be "a near-final version of the phone." The 4-inch screen, which sits perpendicular to the 6.8-inch main display, supposedly flips out from the main screen's bottom. It isn't shown in the video, though.

Instead, what we see is the phone being used while driving. You can see a music player interrupted by a call coming in through the smaller screen as the navigation app continues uninterrupted on the primary display. Other use cases could be watching a video on the main display while tweeting or messaging on the smaller one, or stream games with your Discord server comments on the second screen, or using the secondary display as on-screen controls for games. Of course, this relies on whether the screens will support all apps or a select few. According to Android Authoritythe LG Wing will reportedly run on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 765 or 765G chipset, but the specs or release date haven't been confirmed yet.

Here's your best look at the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2

Samsung teased the Galaxy Z Fold 2 during the recent Unpacked event. But the new foldable device is getting a dedicated launch on September 1. Ahead of the event, we get a substantial look at the latest iteration of the foldable phone through this video review. It is in Mandarin, though, so you may or may not understand what's being said.

The highly-produced video gives us a great look at the device in action, with the reviewers using Maps, playing games, taking selfies, and even showing off the richer speaker sound. Placed beside the first Fold, you can see that the display has gotten thinner and larger. The huge camera cutout is swapped for a punch-hole cutout for the selfie shooter. It also shows the improved hinge, which leaks claim leaves the phone fully enclosed to avoid dust from getting in. Watching the review, does it excite you to see the new Galaxy Z Fold 2?
