Review: Citytv video app for the iPad

As a streaming video device, Apple's iPad does a superb job of playing back high quality video provided the supporting application is well designed and there's ample content for users to watch. We were both thrilled and surprised when Citytv (a Rogers Company) launched their video app player for the iPad last week and minutes after installing the application we were duly impressed by what this free app had to offer.

Review: Sony Ericsson Xperia X10-Mini

Sony’s catalogue is replete with miniaturized versions of successful products. Look at their VAIO P subnotebook, their Reader Pocket Edition and now the Sony Ericsson Xperia 10-Mini, which is the smallest touch-enabled Android smartphone in the market today.

Breaking News: BlackBerry "PlayBook" Tablet launched at Developer Conference

It is called the PlayBook and it is RIM's new 7-inch tablet which features a  1GHz dual-core processor and integrates with user's existing BlackBerry accounts. The PlayBook can handle Flash 10.1 as well as HTML5 web standards as well as Adobe Air integration. Powered by QNX OS which highlights security and stability, the PlayBook is expected to be available in 2011. Video  and photos after the break.

Windows Phone to launch in October, first adverts released

 

After a sneak peek preview last month, our interest in Microsoft's Windows Phone OS has gained steadily. We were impressed at the slick new interface and apparent ease of use of the new OS which is Microsoft's attempt to regain momentum in the hot smartphone market. Above is one of the new advertisements  for Windows Phone which may be formally launched in the UK on October 11  with a possible early November release in the US and Canada.
