ASUS ROG Phone gets listed for late October release

If we are to believe the GearBest listing, the ASUS ROG Phone is set to come out around a month from now. The site states the phone will start shipping between October 22 and 24. The 8GB/128GB version is listed at around €1,140 (around CA$1,700), while the 8GB/512GB model goes for €1,400 (around CA$2,100). The phone is packed with a 90Hz AMOLED screen, binned Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, virtual trigger keys, 4,000mAh battery, and dual USB-C ports, among others. It was launched in June and the wait seems so long. Once it does come out though, is this a device you’ll consider getting?

Twitter shares news about a bug that became active sometime in May 2017 until Sept. 10, 2018. It affected the interaction between users and accounts or businesses that used the Account Activity API (AAAPI). This API is designed for customer interactions. Twitter clarifies that it hasn’t affected other DMs and it will notify affected users through the app or website if they have been affected. The company is also getting in touch with the developers who got affected.

Telltale Games shuts down most of its studio, ‘The Walking Dead Final Season’ reportedly won’t be finished

Say goodbye to The Wolf Among Us 2, Stranger Things, and even the rest of The Walking Dead Final Season. Telltale Games, the studio behind these titles, have laid off most of its staff. The studio has kept on a skeleton crew of 25 people to “fulfill the company’s obligations to its board and partners.” According to US Gamer, sources say these staff members are going to work on the Minecraft Story Mode project for Netflix. The Walking Dead team was also laid off and the game will not be completed and it’ll end after the second episode launches next week. While the company’s games have been popular, these didn’t translate into sales, forcing Telltale Games to shut down. You can read the full statement from the company under the cut.
