GarageBand 2.3 for iOS bringing new beats and loops

Apple announced an update to GarageBand for iOS. Today’s update introduces a new GarageBand Sound Library, where users can select and download a variety of free sound packs featuring new instruments and loops. Beat makers can tap into a new Beat Sequencer instrument inspired by classic drum machines — popular with artists who produce Hip-Hop and Electronic music. The app also features new Asian Touch Instruments and updates to Drummer, including six additional players.

Interac Debit comes to Samsung Pay in Canada

Interac Debit on Samsung Pay is now available in Canada, bringing the convenience, security and privacy of contactless transactions to customers with debit cards issued by participating financial institutions and who use supported Samsung devices.

Consumers can use Interac Debit on Samsung Pay at hundreds of thousands of merchant locations across Canada where contactless payments are accepted. Just look for the contactless symbol on the payment terminal at checkout.

First impressions of iPhone X

New York, NY - It's been a whirlwind 24-hours with Apple's latest iPhone. The iPhone X, which begins shipping and appearing in stores on Friday, was previewed to a handful of media in Cupertino and here in New York. The iPhone X is as important to Apple as the original iPhone was simply because it is the realization of some of the company's ideals for the smartphone. Hit jump for my first impressions.
