‘The X-Files’ to make a comeback in the US in January

The X-Files ended its original run in 2002. Now, we’re just that much closer to the comeback as Fox announced the debut of the new six-episode “event series.” The X-Files, starring David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson as Fox Mulder and Dana Scully, will be coming back on Sunday, January 24^th in the US. It’ll be debuting after the NFC championship football game and then it will be moving to its Monday 8PM time slot.

We’re hoping it makes its way here because we can’t wait for this classic to make a comeback. This short series comes from the original mastermind Chris Carter. We aren’t sure about the details yet but we’re willing to bet there are aliens.

Microsoft cuts off junk for upcoming browser

Microsoft is looking for a clean slate with its new browser. Called Microsoft Edge, the new web browser is taking out a lot of the bad stuff that’s clogged up its much maligned Internet Explorer browser. It’s getting rid of its support for ActiveX, VBScript, and compatibility hacks for old IE versions will also be let go. There will be an Enterprise Mode for Edge if you want older sites to render correctly. You can get the full list of the things Microsoft is taking out in the source link below.

YouTube to kill off Collections feature this month

Google seems to be doing a cleaning spree on its apps and services. This time, YouTube is taking out its Collections feature by May 20^th. Collections are grouped subscriptions of feeds and channels that you can label under a single title and view in a new playlist. Unfortunately, it seems not too many people are fond of using this feature. Google and YouTube didn’t specify why they decided to ax this feature. But it doesn’t seem like it’ll be sorely missed though.
