Netflix reportedly cracking down on international VPN users

Due to international laws and varying copyright agreements from different countries, Netflix content can vary greatly from country to country. That's why some users use virtual private networks or VPNs to work around this issue. VPNs give the international users access to Netflix by letting the service think it is connecting from somewhere in the US. It's not as big an issue for copyright holders but it has gotten the name of "geo-piracy."

Torrent Freak discovered that several VPN services like TorGuard are starting to see more errors from users trying to connect to Netflix. According to Netflix though, they haven't changed the way they handle VPN connections. It could be Netflix is testing something out but won't tell the public just yet. You could consider it a warning that Netflix might be cracking down on "geo-pirates."

CES 2015: Samsung to launch ‘most seductive UHD TV of all time’

There have been a lot of televisions touted as the sexiest TVs of all time. It’s all just a gimmick but the TV manufacturers of course want to get as much of an advantage as they can—even if just through marketing. Samsung then is set to unveil its new S’UHD branding (which we guess means Samsung Ultra HD) at this year’s CES. And the South Korean tech company is calling it the “most seductive TV of all time.” What makes it seductive? They’re making a giant curved 4K TV. Other than that, we don’t know anything much about the new TV, expect it will run on Tizen (as would all future Samsung Smart TVs). But we just have to wait a couple of days more to see if this lives up to the hype.

Find where the pizzas are with Pizza Compass

There is an app for almost anything these days so we’re not surprised to find out that even pizzas are getting in on the game. If you’ve had that hankering for some good pizza, let Pizza Compass lead the way. The app basically works to show you were the five nearest pizza places are. But it makes use of compass directions so it won’t be as accurate as you’d want it to be. But hey, it works on Android Wear, too. Happy pizza hunting!
