Leica introduces new rangefinder camera

Leica might be foregoing its identifiable red brand logo for its new camera but it doesn’t mean they’re scrimping on quality. The new Leica M-P features a 24-megapixel CMOS sensor, Leica Maestro processor, ISO range of 200 – 6400, and a shutter speed of 1/4000s – 60 seconds. It also has the ability to shoot three frames per second until you run out of the internal 2GB of storage and it comes with optional EVF. If you find yourself wanting for storage, you can use an SD/SDHC/SDXC memory card. The M-P also comes equipped a mono integrated microphone and an optional stereo mic adapter as well as a sapphire glass-covered 3-inch TFT display. It comes in black and silver chrome and retails for US$7,950.

HTC unveils IFA teaser with digits ‘820’

Hot off the heels of their HTC One M8 for Windows release, HTC has plans of unveiling a new device and reports say it will be an octa-core Android device. The Taiwanese brand sent out “save the date” invites for an “IFA Breakfast” on September 4th. It is rumoured that the 64-bit octa-core device for HTC’s Desire line will be making an appearance. The teaser image with the digits “820” was just released and it seems in line with the numbering HTC does with Desire—the last Desire handset was an 816. We will just have to wait a bit to see what those numbers really mean.

Google Voice Search adds multi-language support

When doing multi-language Voice Search before, Google would need you to change the language settings. Now, they are rolling out an update that will support multiple languages. The latest version of Google Search (version 3.6) should be up on Play Store. To activate this feature, you just need to head to the Settings menu and then select Search & Now > Voice > Languages. You can then pick up to five languages you want Google Search to understand. But Android Police points out there are still shortcomings with the update, including the lose of "Ok Google" detection. Hopefully they fix that soon.

Leaks of the rumoured Moto X+1 surface

Since @evleaks announced he was retiring from the tech leaks game, it looks like he wanted to leave us all with a parting gift: leaked press renders of the alleged successor of the Moto X. The Moto X+1 looks like it retains the overall shape of the Moto X but it is a bit bigger than its predecessor. And there are new speaker at the top and bottom of the device. One of the renders has a Verizon logo at the back, which means the telecom company will be one of the carriers of this new rumoured device.
