Apple's new peripherals bring modern touches to desktop Macs

Apple's latest peripherals- the Magic Keyboard, Magic Mouse and Magic Trackpad 2, bring improved convenience and functionality to new and existing Mac desktops and notebooks.

The Magic TrackPad 2, brings the Force Touch functionality from the Apple Watch, the new MacBook as well as the MacBook Pro Retina to any existing Mac.

Twitter to streamline workforce by cutting 336 jobs

Twitter has announced that it is cutting 336 jobs as part of a streamlining effort to set the company on course. 336 jobs represent 8 per cent of Twitter's global workforce and the job cuts will affect the engineering division.

The cuts come weeks after Jack Dorsey was appointed Twitter CEO. Twitter is doing well financially but has been having a hard time attracting new users, even as it has tried to diversify and add features to the service.

Toyota releases details on 4th generation Prius hybrid with 18% better mileage

Toyota's popular Prius Hybrid looks to be getting better mileage (up to 40 kilometres a litre) as well as improved engine, interior and driver features. Coming to Japan in December and expected to hit North America next year, the new Prius has imprvoed batteries which are 10 per cent smaller than the current version while better options for engine performance, and even all-wheel drive, are being considered.

"The Toyota Prius is the most successful hybrid on the planet, but its success hasn't expanded to other hybrids, and even the Prius has struggled to maintain sales in recent years," said Karl Brauer, senior analyst for Kelley Blue Book.
