Fitbit rolls out Daily Readiness Score for Premium users

If you wanted to use your Fitbit to determine whether you should work out or prioritize recovery, the Alphabet-owned company has finally rolled out its Daily Readiness Score feature for Fitbit Premium users. This functionality considers your activity and recent sleep patterns to help you decide whether to exercise or rest. You'll get a personalized score each morning with suggestions on the most suitable activity to do, given your condition.  The feature is viewable on the Today dashboard for the Sense 3, Versa 3 and 2, Charge 5, Luxe, and Inspire 2 devices. The Sense and Versa 3 users can also view their score on their wrist.

Another update rolling out is the activation of the on-device electrocardiogram (ECG) app on the Charge 5. Blood glucose logging is now also available in Canada and Fitbit users in Australia, France, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Ireland, New Zealand, Singapore, Spain, and the UK. The new blood glucose tracking tool is available through the Fitbit app.

Netflix tests TikTok-inspired Kids Clips on iOS

Netflix

Canada is one of the few countries with access to a new feature Netflix is reportedly testing. The new Kids Clip feature targets younger viewers and helps them find something to watch on the service. If that seems familiar to you, this new feature builds on Netflix's Fast Laughs comedy feed launched earlier this year.

Your kid can just swipe through clips taken from the service's children's programming. But instead of it in portrait mode like on apps like TikTok, the feature is viewed horizontally, and kids can only watch 10 to 20 clips at a time. And Netflix will refresh it daily depending on what shows and movies are on the platform or those coming out soon. The feature is meant to combat decision fatigue, which plagues the service's subscribers. According to Bloomberg, this feature is being tested here, in the US, Australia, Ireland, and Latin American countries.

Clubhouse rolls out Replay feature to let hosts record audio chats for later listening

Nathana Rebouças/Unsplash

When Clubhouse started, audio chats on the platform were only available live. When conversations were over, there was no way to access these live chats. But now, the service is adding a new Replay feature to let hosts record audio chats that can be saved to a club or profile. These recordings can be downloaded and shared externally, like on a podcast.

The Replay feature will also support pinned links, which will remain interactive even when listening to the recording after it went live. Those who listen to Replays can skip to the next speaker, pause, scrub, or make 30-second clips. They can also adjust speed to 1.5x or 2x. Creators will see who is listening to Replays, and the hosts will get access to "total room count" so they can see how many people tuned in, whether live or recorded. These Replays will also appear on Clubhouse's discover pages and search beginning next week.
