Google Photos for Android makes Markup tools more visible

Google Photos is rolling out an update that allows you to see Markup tools more easily in the Google Photos editor user interface. These tools are for drawing and adding text to pictures/screenshots. They were previously kept in the More tab where you can also see the third-party image editors and all the tools available to the editor. But now features like Pen, Highlighter, and Text get their own section between Filters and More.

Mercedes-Benz brings Apple Music to MBUX infotainment system

Mercedes-Benz's MBUX infotainment system will be getting Apple Music integration starting this month. It will arrive first in the new C-Class and S-Class models, followed by the EQS later this summer. The streaming service will integrate directly into the MBUX system. You just need to link your online "Mercedes me" account to the vehicle. It will even support Mercedes' "Hey Mercedes" voice command. Existing C- and S-Class owners with the latest generation of the MBUX will get Apple Music via an over-the-air update later this year.

Apple AirTag's new update brings privacy improvements, Android app coming later this year

Photo by Đức Trịnh on Unsplash

Apple has started rolling out a firmware update for the AirTag that adjusts the time it takes for AirTags to sound an alert after they've been separated from their owner. The AirTags will update automatically when they're within range of a connected iPhone. With this update, an AirTag will now play a sound after being separated from its owner at a random time within eight hours and 24 hours. When the AirTag launched, it was designed to play a sound after being separated for over three days.

The company has also announced that it is developing an Android app to alert users if an AirTag is potentially moving with them. It doesn't look like the app will be used to set up an AirTag, though. Apple wanted to address concerns raised about unwanted tracking instead. The app is expected to come out later this year.

Waze lets you use Boy George's voice for Pride Month

If you've been looking through the voices you can use for navigation on Waze, then you might notice that Boy George has appeared as an option on the app for Pride Month. Aside from having the music and fashion icon help you navigate through traffic, Waze said he would "impart words of wisdom, like reminding you that life is about learning to be yourself."

You can also get the full Boy George experience with a choice of four moods or two cars. Plus, Boy George curated a special Pride playlist that you can stream through the Waze Audio Player. Each track he picked was selected to "celebrate acceptance, freedom of expression, and love," and they were selected following his golden rule: "Listen to the music you love; passion always eclipses what's fashionable."
