Google Messages on web get emoji reactions

If you want to send emoji reactions to someone you're chatting with on Google's Messages app, it's now possible to do that, even when you're on the web. Google updated its web client to allow you to send emoji feedback. You simply need to hover over any message you want to reply to, and two new icons will appear. One with an emoji, and another is an overflow options button.

You can choose from seven reactions: thumbs-up, heart eyes, laughing with tears, surprised, sad, angry, and thumbs-down. It works on your messages and anyone else you're talking to, including group chats. But you can only send one reaction per message. The feature is rolling out to everyone, so it should make its way to you soon.

CD Projekt Red vows to fix 'Cyberpunk 2077' issues on older-gen consoles

Cyberpunk 2077 is less than a week old, but it's facing heavy criticism, particularly its performance on older-generation consoles. Sony and Microsoft are allowing owners to refund their copies. CD Projekt Red (CDPR) also says gamers can return their boxed copies at the stores they originally bought these from. The issues range from graphical problems to glitches that make it impossible for players to complete quests. CDPR had to issue a hotfix to get rid of the worst problems.

The developer issued a new statement, apologizing for "not showing the game on base last-gen consoles" before its release. And it promises to release a series of updates in the coming months to bring the game up to parity with the next-generation and PC versions.

Disney+ will get a $3 price increase in Canada this Feb. 2021

While Canada is finally getting the international version of Hulu, it comes at a cost. Disney will be raising the price of the Disney+ streaming service next year by $3. Starting February 23, 2021, this new pricing will take effect, alongside the launch of Star. This price change means the monthly subscription fee for Disney+ will be $11.99 instead of $8.99. Disney reasons that it won't charge for this additional service, but, of course, the price increase already seems like it's compensating for the addition.

Don't confuse Star for Starz, which is a brand licensed by Bell Media in Canada. Star or the international version of Hulu is expected to get 35 first-run series that will premiere within a year of its launch date. However, Disney didn't specify what titles these will be, nor did they mention what titles from their existing catalogue will come to Star in Canada.
