Rumoured OnePlus Watch won't reportedly run on Google's Wear OS

The often-rumoured OnePlus smartwatch is reportedly coming to the market soon, and a new rumour gives us a surprising update on the wearable. A new leak from OnePlus tipster Max J claims the OnePlus Watch wouldn't ship with Wear OS. It isn't known what the company will use in its place. According to Max, it supposedly won't even come with a modified or skinned version of the wearable OS. The OnePlus Watch is allegedly launching sometime next year after it was initially expected to debut last month.

YouTube introduces HDR support for iPhone 12

The new iPhone 12 series of devices are all getting HDR support on the YouTube iOS app. While the video service has offered HDR on iOS since the iPhone X, it needed an update to support the new hardware. You can find out if your new iPhone already supports HDR by heading to the three-dot menu on any video you're watching. HDR options should be listed on videos that support the standard.

'Fruit Ninja 2' is now available for mobile

Fruit Ninja makes a comeback 10 years later in the form of Fruit Ninja 2. While Halfbrick Studios' game offers similar gameplay to the original, it adds mini-games and real-time competitive matches to shake things up. It's still your job as a ninja to slice those fruits, but there are new characters, blades, and massive power-ups you can unlock. You even tend and grow a garden here. The game is available for both Android and iOS as a free-to-play title with ads and in-app purchases.

Netflix experiments with a linear-style channel in France

If you're overwhelmed by the number of options Netflix offers on its streaming service, the company has a solution—at least in France. The company introduced a new feature called Direct, which provides a linear-style channel on Netflix's web version. It's only available in France, where Netflix claims that traditional TV is still "hugely popular" for people who "just want a 'lean back' experience where they don't have to choose shows." Netflix also hopes the feature will expose its users to shows they might not watch.

When users choose to use Direct, Netflix will display the shows coming up with a 24-hour grid of programmed shows and times. After five days, the programming will automatically update based on what's popular on the platform overall instead of on personal tastes.
