Apple to require developers to share app privacy 'nutrition label' starting next month

Apple announced at WWDC 2020 that it was going to require developers to share information on the data it collects from users. With that info, the company promised to add what looks like nutrition labels on the App Store so users can understand the apps they download better, learn about whether they can track you, and find out what info is linked to you.

Now, we learn that Apple will require developers to comply starting December 8, which means we might start seeing these labels then. Developers can share the necessary information through Apple's App Store Connect website.

This is how much usable storage you'll get from the PS5, Xbox Series S/X

While both next-generation consoles from Sony and Microsoft aren't out yet, new previously unknown details about the gaming machines are starting to surface, like how much usable storage you'll get.

A leak about the PlayStation 5 suggests it'll have around 650GB of usable storage from its 825GB custom SSD. A screenshot from noted leaker Okami13 and shared by GamesRadar showed the system with 648GB free out of 667GB, including space taken by the free Astro's Playroom install. It takes up around 20% of the memory. It isn't clear, though, if the launch game's size is included in the console's storage space or if it was installed afterwards.

WhatsApp to debut disappearing messages this month

WhatsApp will soon offer the option to send disappearing messages. But its option will delete messages and files only after seven days. A spokesperson from the Facebook-owned messaging app reasoned, "We're starting with 7 days because we think it offers peace of mind that conversations aren't permanent, while remaining practical so you don't forget what you were chatting about."

The feature will be available for individual and group chats. Admins for the group chats can enable the feature for the group. Disappearing messages also include pictures and videos shared, but as The Verge points out, people can take screenshots of the messages or copy them before they get erased.

The feature has to be enabled on a per group and contact basis. And when it fully rolls out, the option will be seen in each friend's contact section. It won't affect any of your older conversations. Instead, it will erase the new ones when the feature is enabled. All users can expect the feature to be available on their apps.
