Telus offers free Taxi rides in several Canadian cities over the holidays

Starting this weekend, a fleet of Telus branded taxis will storm the streets of VancouverCalgaryEdmonton, Regina, Saskatoon, Toronto and Montreal to bring a helping hand to shoppers across Canada. Aside from offering free rides, Telus also offers phone calls to anyone--whether they are last minute shoppers or holiday party-goers.

From December 18 to December 25, ten TELUS branded taxis cruise Canadian city centres and downtown areas between 11 am and 11 pm. Whether it's to the store around the corner or to a festive evening out, Saskatoonians will have the opportunity to take advantage of this perk from TELUS. En route, passengers will have the opportunity to make a free holiday call anywhere in North America on Canada's fastest coast-to-coast mobile network. More info can be found here.

"The last week of before the Holidays is hectic, holiday shoppers have their hands full between social commitments and picking out that perfect gift for their love ones. We want to help make the holiday rush a little easier for Canadians with a stress-free ride on us," said Anne-Marie Laberge, vice president, Marketing Communications, TELUS Customer Solutions.

"For me the holiday season is also a time to share with my family and friends. We thought that a free chat on TELUS' 3G+ network while being driven home would be a great opportunity to connect and share some holiday joy."
