Logitech debuts rugged cases and car mounts for Galaxy S5, iPhone 5, and 5s

Worried about dropping or damaging your precious smartphone? Logitech is bringing you extra protection with its new protection+ case for the Samsung Galaxy S5, Apple iPhone 5, and iPhone 5s. The case has a slim, ultra-protective hard polycarbonate body with flex-resistant corners and impact-absorbent polymers. It even has impact channels and a thermoplastic layer inside to absorb further vibrations. The protection+ case has also passed the U.S. military drop-test standard (MIL-STD 810 G) meant for “rugged” devices, so it protects your phone from drops of up to 1.8 meters high.

The protection+ case is also compatible with the new +trip and +drive mounts. The +trip will clip onto any air vent of your vehicle thanks to a magnet that holds your smartphone in place. This comes with two universal adapters and works with various smartphones.

The +drive mount can attach to your windshield or dashboard with the help of a single twist-activated suction cup and a magnet that secures your device into place. It also comes with two universal adapters and can hold your smartphone vertically or horizontally.

The protection+ case, +trip air vent mount, and +drive windshield/dashboard mount will be available in the U.S. and Europe starting August and they retail for US$34.99, $29.99, and $49.99, respectively.
