Microsoft teases new Surface device expected tomorrow

There's a lot of buzz surrounding Microsoft these days, particularly for their hardware releases. The past few weeks have been a roller coaster of 'Surface Andromeda' news and leaks until the news that this mythical 3-in-1 device is not coming anytime soon. Now we have a hint from Microsoft that something new is coming to the Surface line with a Twitter teaser. The above image shows the Surface family as it stands. The Twitter message states 'Where will Surface go next?"

Many believe this alludes to the smaller $400 Surface device like called Surface Go. The device will be a 10-inch Surface with either 64GB or 128GB of storage and will use USB Type-C to connect and charge. It won't be a Surface without a keyboard and stylus, so those are likely coming but will be sold separately. When is this new Surface for the rest of us coming, the date is right there on the photo. We expect an announcement on July 10 at 6 AM PT. Will this come to Canada? Most likely but the question is when. Microsoft usually gets new models out in the US and waits a few months for production to pick up before shipping to Canada.

Since the Surface Go is geared towards students, however, I have a feeling we'll be seeing it sooner rather than later. specially if Microsoft wants to compete with the iPad.
