Samsung launches Galaxy A71, A51 in Canada

Samsung's mid-range models, the Galaxy A71 and Galaxy A51, are now available in Canada. The two handsets introduced the design language Samsung is following for 2020. The Galaxy A71 is priced at $599.99, while the Galaxy A51 costs $479.99. Both models come in the Prism Crush Black colour variant, and they will both be sold at Samsung Experience Stores, Fido, Koodo, Rogers, Videotron, and Best Buy.

The Galaxy A71 and Galaxy A51 sport a similar design with a new L-shaped, quad-camera setup on the back as well as a new Infinity-O display with the punch-hole cutout in the top center of the phone. Both handsets have an FHD+ Super AMOLED 20:9 display. But the Galaxy A71's screen is at 6.7 inches, while the Galaxy A51 has a 6.5-inch display.

The Galaxy A71 runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 730, 6GB of RAM, and 128GB of expandable storage. The Galaxy A51 is powered by an Exynos 9611 processor, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of expandable storage. These mid-range Samsung devices get One UI 2.0 based on Android 10 out of the box.

The Galaxy A71 has a 64-megapixel primary lens, while the Galaxy A51 has a 48-megapixel main sensor. Both have a 5-megapixel depth sensor, the new 5-megapixel macro lens, and 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera. Housed in the punch-hole for both devices is the 32-megapixel front-facing camera.

The Galaxy A71 has a slightly bigger 4,500mAh battery with 25-watt fast-charging support, while the Galaxy A51 has a 4,000mAh battery with 15-watt fast-charging support via USB-C.
