Fitbit Sense, Versa 3 gets status indicators, outdoor exercise mode

The Fitbit OS 5.3 is getting a new update for the Sense and Versa 3 that brings status indicators to these wearables. There will be icons that show up at the top of the watch face for three seconds to give you information on whether do not disturb or sleep mode is on, when you have a "critically low" battery, and when your wearable isn't connected your smartphone. You can see the different icons in the image above.

If the icons vanish too quickly for you, you can swipe right to see them at the top of quick settings. If you'd rather not see these icons, you can disable them from Settings > Display > Status indicators

Fitbit also introduces a new outdoor exercise mode to track "kayaking, skiing, and more." According to 9to5GoogleFitbit says version 44.128.6.12 for the Sense and 36.128.6.12 for the Versa 3 with these status indicators "will be available soon," and that "some of you may already have this update available."
