PlayStation Stars debuts in North America

Source: Sony

Sony launched its new loyalty program, PlayStation Stars, in North America. If you join, you get rewards like digital collectibles, PS Store credit, full games, and more. It's free to join if you have a PlayStation Network account. You can sign up through the PlayStation website or on the iOS or Android app.

You might find yourself on a waitlist, though, with a wait between one to two months. According to Sony, the waitlist ensures users get an optimized experience. You can collect points and digital collectibles by participating in campaigns, including playing certain games or buying titles in the PlayStation Store. You can join these campaigns on a PS4 or PS5 but not on older hardware.

Some free games you can redeem after earning enough points are HadesSekiroShadows Die Twice; and The Quarry. You can level up your status by buying games on the PlayStation Store and earning trophies. When you level up, you get access to more collectibles. Those who reach level 4 get priority customer service chat support.
