Sennheiser's new fitness-centric buds can reduce distracting body noise

Source: Sennheiser

Sennheiser launched a new pair of sports-centric true wireless earbuds with an unusual feature. The new Sport True Wireless has an Aware EQ passthrough setting that can reduce distracting sounds your body makes (like heartbeat and footsteps) to pay better attention to your surroundings. We can imagine this will be useful for runners.

It also has an Adaptable Acoustic system that lets you choose between open and closed ear adapters and offers tweakable equalizer settings to get the sound you want for your workouts. If you wish to keep external sound out, you can use Focus EQ setting paired with the closed ear adapter. You can adjust how much external sound you hear and create custom EQ presets through Sennheiser's app.

The Sport True Wireless also has three ear adapters and four fins to get the best fit. These also have a 7mm dynamic driver promising "full bass and superior clarity without distortion." These buds also get touch controls, voice assistant support, Bluetooth 5.2, and support for SBC, AAC, and aptX audio codecs.

These earbuds geared for active use have an IP54 rating for dust, splash, and sweat resistance. Battery life is up to nine hours, which can be extended up to 18 hours of listening time. Sennheiser opened pre-orders for the Sport True Wireless in the US. We see pricing for it in Canada, but no pre-order details yet. It retails here for $169.95.
