Alleged Pixel 7 prototype spotted on eBay

Source: eBay listing (now delisted)

Google teased the Pixel 7 series months before it planned to launch the phone. And we're not surprised that they did, especially since the leaks are coming in and an alleged phone prototype has already been spotted online. A likely prototype of the Pixel 7 has been posted on eBay. It has since been sold (or at least the listing has been closed), but it matches the look of what Google has already shared.

It has the Pixel 7's distinctive and redesigned camera bar. It even comes in the black colour option, like one of the variants shown by Google during I/O. A photo of its display says it has 128GB of storage, suggesting we're getting that storage option. We don't know what configurations Google plans to sell the Pixel 7 with. Another screenshot says its model is GVU6C.

The seller claims they got the Pixel 7 from a wholesaler who didn't know what it was. If this prototype is an actual phone prototype, we won't be too surprised. Past Google hardware was spotted in the wild way before they launched. For now, we're going to have to wait and see until the fall rolls around, or at least until more leaks show up online.
