Philips Hue users rejoice: Multiple Bridges support coming soon

Photo: Philips

Smart home enthusiasts, rejoice! A long-standing limitation with Philips Hue is finally being addressed. The company recently announced that users will soon be able to add multiple Bridges to a single account, solving a major frustration for those with expansive smart lighting setups.

Previously, each Hue Bridge, while supporting up to 50 devices, was an isolated island. This meant exceeding that limit required creating a separate account for another Bridge, effectively siloing your control of the entire system. Thankfully, that's about to change.

As spotted by Hueblog.com, Philips Hue confirms that later this year, users will be able to manage multiple Bridges under one account, organized into designated "Homes" for better clarity. While details on the exact implementation remain unclear, this marks a significant step forward for Hue users seeking a more unified smart lighting experience.
