This is when it’s acceptable to start talking about the latest ‘Game of Thrones’ episode

So, you’ve kept up with all the Game of Thrones episodes, but your officemate hasn’t seen it yet. When is the best time to start talking about the newest episode? New data from NachoAnalytics suggest that Wednesday is the best day. At that point over 70 percent of viewers have reportedly already seen the episode. Not everyone gets to watch it on Sunday. In fact, their figures suggest around 40 percent get to see it when it airs. So, just hold on a bit before you talk about the latest episode of the series.

George R.R. Martin gives update on ‘Game of Thrones’

HBO

With Game of Thrones reaching the end of its run, we might have to say goodbye to this part of the story but we aren’t saying goodbye to Westeros completely. There are a handful of shows in development, which A Song of Fire And Ice’s writer George R.R.  Martin detailed on his blog for a bit. The author of the books which inspired Game of Thrones previously announced that we were getting five spinoff shows, which he refers to as successors. HBO has ordered a pilot for one of them, which Martin says he shouldn’t call The Long Night and is sent thousands of years before the events of Game of Thrones. That series is expected to begin shooting this summer with Defenders and Jessica Jones’ S.J. Clarkson directing.

But aside from that one show, Martin claims two other projects are also “moving forward nicely.” These two are still in the script stage, but are “edging closer.” Whether all five shows get made isn’t certain. And what these stories might be about, Martin won’t go into detail. Instead he says, “maybe some of you should pick up a copy of Fire & Blood and come up with your own theories.” The book is about the history of the Targaryens in Westeros.

‘Game of Thrones’ gets a new tie-in book series for final season

We’re down to our final season of Game of Thrones. And in case you want to hang on to the world of Westeros a bit more, there will be a tie-in book series for Season 8. It’ll be a four-volume series, and it’ll take us on a behind-the-scenes look at the show. The books, which will be released by Insight Editions, will put the focus on different aspects of GoT and how it was brought to life. The first one is the Game of Thrones: The Storyboards. It’s done by lead storyboard artists William Simpson and will be released on May 28, 2019. And then the three books coming out in the fall are The Art of Game of Thrones, The Photography of Game of Thrones, and Game of Thrones: The Costumes.

The Game of Thrones final season trailer is out

It has been a while since we've visited Westeros as various factions have waited for winter to come. Well, winter is here and so is the final season of Game of Thrones which comes to HBO on April 14. The reason it took so long for us to get this final season is that each episode is like a big budget movie with various critical scenes, battles and, inevitably, deaths. Are you ready for what's coming?
