Apple's App Store hits 15 Billion downloads

Apple announced that over 15 billion apps have been downloaded from its App Store by the more than 200 million iPhone, iPad and iPod touch users worldwide. The App Store offers more than 425,000 apps and developers have created an incredible array of over 100,000 native iPad apps and has been in operation for almost two years, the Apple App Store debuted in July 10, 2008.

Apple Expo 2011 Canada happens next week



Apple Expo 2011 will take place on July 12 at the Toronto Metro Convention Centre. There's still time to regaister for this yearly Mac and iOS centric event. Starting at noon to 7PM. Review: iTunes Festival app for iOS

iTunes is the world's biggest music retailer so it is only natural that they would, from time to time, celebrate this key position by having a few concerts. The iTunes Festival is a month-long fête that takes place in London, England's Roundhouse. It will feature 62 artists in 31 nights and many of the concerts are free to iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad users through the iTunes Festival app.

Wills and Kate...The Royal Tour App

The Government of Canada has created an app for the Royal Tour for iOS users who can't get enough of the Royal newlyweds.  The app allows you to get updates from the Department of Canadian Heritage on the 2011 Royal Tour as Canada welcomes Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge from June 30 – July 8, 2011. 

This app will be your main source for photo and video updates of the tour. Check out what is being said on Twitter or RSVP for public events via the official Crown in Canada Facebook page. You can also send postcards to your friends and family and share how you plan on celebrating the 2011 Royal Tour. 

A full itinerary is also included with the app so you are always up-to-date on where the Royal Couple is during their stay in Canada. Royal stalking has become easier than ever.
