'Hades' is now available on the Xbox, PlayStation

Following its initial launch on the PC and the Nintendo Switch, Hades is snow available on the Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5. You can also get it on Xbox Game Pass for the Xbox and PC. According to Supergiant Games, the title targets 60 frames per second at 1080p on the Xbox One and PS4, and it'll run up to 60fps in 4K on the Xbox Series X/S and PS5.

Physical copies of the game get a bonus download for the soundtrack and a 32-page booklet. The Xbox One and Series X versions will be available on the same disk. Both the physical and digital PS4 versions get a free upgrade to the digital PS5 version. Unlike the Switch version, what won't be available on these versions is the ability to transfer saves between the PC and the consoles.

Sony to bring ‘Planetside 2’ to the PS4

Sony’s second iteration of its online shooter Planetside is making its debut away from the PC and into the hands of PlayStation 4 owners. Planetside 2 will be coming on June 23 in Europe and North America as a free-to-play title. Sony has been testing beta version of this game since early this year. And now they’re ready to release it to the public. You won’t need a PlayStation Plus membership to play the game.

Planetside 2 has players fighting in massive planetary environments and it combines aerial and vehicular combat as well as traditional shooter gameplay. It’ll have you go on targeted missions against enemy empires.

Sony commemorates 20 years of PlayStation with retro-inspired PS4

It's hard to believe that we're now celebrating 20 years since the original PlayStation took the world by storm. All the memories of hours spent playing Tekken, Gran Turismo and Resident Evil in their very first incarnations does make one misty eyed. Sony has taken the opportunity to celebrate the occasion with a retro-inspired slate-grey PS4, controller and accessories which will be made available in very limited quantities. Pre orders for this special version start on December 6 in the US. No news from Canada if this will even be made available but I would check Amazon.ca. Still pining for some retro-goodness, you can get a theme and 1994 start-up sound for your existing PS4.
