Leak shows possible screen sizes for the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S11

Ben Geskin did a render of the Galaxy S11's rumoured display behind the Galaxy S10 lineup

Known leaker Evan Blass (@evleaks) just shared the possible screen sizes of the upcoming Galaxy S11 lineup. There will supposedly be three models with significantly larger displays. The smallest will either be 6.2 or 6.4 inches, while the two larger ones will measure 6.7 and 6.9 inches. If we compare it to the S10 lineup, those have a 5.8-inch, 6.1-inch, and 6.4-inch screens.

According to Blass, the two smaller sizes will come with 5G and LTE options, while the biggest one will only be available in 5G. The screens will feature curved edges. If it keeps to Samsung's usual timeline for the launch of the S series, we expect to see the 2020 flagships in mid-to-late February.

Android 10 with Samsung's One UI 2.0 beta isn't coming to Canada

Samsung has started rolling out the Android 10-based One UI 2.0 beta for the Galaxy S10 phones. But this version of the app will not make its way to Canada. Samsung Canada confirmed with MobileSyrup that it will not make its way to the country—for now. The company might change its mind, or we'll just have to wait for the final version of the operating system to come to Galaxy S10 devices in the country sometime between now until the start of 2020. The first version of One UI came to Canadian beta testers back in November 2018, with it officially hitting devices in February 2019.

One UI 2.0 brings with it Dark Mode that can shade your home screen wallpaper, smaller UI for the volume bars and caller notifications while you watch videos or play games, and Focus Mode to let you know how long you use specific apps.

Samsung Galaxy S10 gets two new colours

And unfortunately, we might not see them. Tech companies have a habit of refreshing their current flagships with some new colour options. This time the Samsung Galaxy S10 phones get two new colour options: Diamond Silver and Cardinal Red. But, as we mentioned, these two variants will be available in Hong Kong and Switzerland, respectively. The latter, though, might make it to other European countries. The Diamond Silver is currently an S10+ exclusive. Meanwhile, the Cardinal Red option is available for both the S10 and S10+ with the S10e likely to get it in the future. Specs-wise, the phones are the same. But if you find yourself in these countries and want the new colour options, you now have the choice to do so.

Samsung Galaxy S10 might come in a new red colour option

How does a red Samsung Galaxy S10 or S10 Plus sound to you? If it’s an enticing colour option for you, then you might want to cross your fingers for this rumour. Roland Quandt over at WinFuture.de leaked a new Cardinal Red colour option for both devices (no word about the Galaxy S10E). And he said it’ll be “coming soon.” What we also don’t know is where this option will be made available. Samsung launched additional red and gold models for the Galaxy S9, but last year’s red option remained exclusive to South Korea and China. Here’s to hoping this makes its way here… if the rumours are true, that is.
