Here’s our first look at the 11th season of ‘The X-Files’

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’d know that The X-Files is coming back for a 10-episode season. And if you’ve been wondering what to expect, Fox unveiled the first trailer for the 11th season of this iconic show at New York Comic Con. The trailer shows things like how Mulder and Scully’s son William plays a big role in the series, Scully doing a rather badass table dive, some drama with Skinner, and a young Cigarette Smoking Man lighting up next to an alien. There are also threats of “hell on earth” being unleashed. With the production only halfway through, this means we’re getting a rather meaty first five episodes—if these clips are any indication, that is. The series is going to debut in 2018.

There will be another ‘The X-Files’ season later this year

If you think last year’s comeback of The X-Files was lacking, then we have good news for you. Fox just announced that the hit sci-fi series is making another comeback at the latter part of 2017 with both David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson returning as FBI agents Mulder and Scully. The show’s creator Chris Carter will also be back as executive producer of the 10-episode season. The new season doesn’t have an exact premiere date yet so we’re staying tuned for that.

‘The X-Files’ to make a comeback in the US in January

The X-Files ended its original run in 2002. Now, we’re just that much closer to the comeback as Fox announced the debut of the new six-episode “event series.” The X-Files, starring David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson as Fox Mulder and Dana Scully, will be coming back on Sunday, January 24th in the US. It’ll be debuting after the NFC championship football game and then it will be moving to its Monday 8PM time slot.

We’re hoping it makes its way here because we can’t wait for this classic to make a comeback. This short series comes from the original mastermind Chris Carter. We aren’t sure about the details yet but we’re willing to bet there are aliens.
