LG brings G4 Vigor to Canada

LG’s new mid-range smartphone is now available in the country through SaskTel, Videotron, and Virgin Mobile.  The LG G4 Vigor packs in a 5.2-inch Full HD IPS display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor, 4G LTE capability, and an 8MP camera with LG’s Colour Spectrum Sensor and Laser Auto Focus tech as well as a 5MP front-facing shooter. And in case you’re wondering, the camera on this phone also has the newly-introduced Manual Mode. It has 8GB internal storage and 1.5GB RAM. It comes with a removable 2,300mAH battery. There's no price yet from SaskTel, Videotron offers it for as low as $29.95 on a two-year contract and $329.95 outright, and Virgin Mobile offers it for free on a two-year contract and $349.99 outright.

HTC Desire 626s is coming to Canada as a budget smartphone option

 

The new  HTC Desire 626s brings many of the same features found in its flagship HTC One M9 to a more affordable yet still premium and modern design. Featuring HTC Sense 7, the new HTC Desire 626s smartphone can be customized with HTC Themes, HTC BlinkFeed and HTC Sense Home applications.

That is why we are bringing the absolute best affordable smartphone to market with the HTC Desire,” said Jason Mackenzie, president of HTC America. “Our Desire 626s smartphone brings the premium experiences, performance and style of our flagship smartphone at an incredible price.” 

This smartphone features LTE capability and a quad-core processor, a 5-inch, HD 720 pixel screen and a 2000 mAh battery and expandable memory.

The Desire 626s will be available in Canada on Bell, Videotron, Virgin and WIND Mobile. Carriers will announce pricing and availability in the coming weeks.

HTC One M9 review

As iterative as it may seem, the HTC One M9 really does bump up the specs where they count. More powerful and efficient processors, more RAM, a larger battery and an incrementally smaller size, make it a real step forward from its predecessors.

The new HTC One (M9) refines HTC”s ideal of what a smartphone should offer. Revisiting the design and function of the previous M7 and M8 models, HTC’s gone for subtle refinement over drastic re-invention, which means that while familiar, the new HTC One M9 is definitely new and improved.

Videotron announces expanded cross-Canada coverage, starting May 13

Less than a year after launching its LTE mobile network, Videotron is taking another giant step forward by introducing expanded coast-to-coast coverage.

As of May 13, Videotron Mobile will give its customers still wider coverage across the country (1) from Gaspé to Vancouver, from Prairie roads to Laurentian lakeshores. With Videotron’s All Inclusive Canada plans (2), Québec consumers and business people will be able to travel the country with peace of mind, knowing that they will be able to text their loved ones and pick up their emails at no extra charge across the land on Videotron’s partner networks.
