Nike to push your New Year’s fitness goals with Training Club app update

Nike wants you to (finally) pursue your fitness goals in the coming year with an update of its Training Club app for iOS and Android devices. Some of the new features let you customize workout routine, share milestones when you hit your goals, and earn rewards. You can also check out new exercise videos added to the app.

Nike also strengthened the integration with Running and FuelBand apps. You can add the minutes you run on the Running to N+TC and tag your N+TC sessions on FuelBand. Expect the updates to hit your devices on New Year’s Eve.

Rdio's streaming Vdio beta service shuts down

Vdio was a promising streaming content service from the makers of Skype and the popular streaming music service and app Vdio. We learned that Vdio was not sustainable and, as a result, will be discontinued. Below is the notice from Vdio.

"We are writing to inform you that we have decided to discontinue the Vdio beta service.

"Despite our efforts, we were not able to deliver the differentiated customer experience we had hoped for, and so Vdio is now closed."
