Pantone Colors are now behind a paywall when using Adobe products

If you use Pantone colours with your Adobe software, you'll need to pay a monthly fee. Pantone is putting its 15,000 colours behind a paywall starting this month. The only Pantone Color books that remain free to use are Pantone + CMYK Coated, Pantone + CMYK Uncoated, and Pantone + Metallic Coated. Pantone passes the cost to users through the Pantone Connect plug-in for either US$59.99 per year or US$7.99 a month.

Musk wants to revive Vine

Elon Musk wants to bring back Vine (and polled users agree)

The rumour mill and shakeup surrounding Elon Musk's Twitter acquisition continues to churn. This time around, Twitter's new owner wants to bring back its looping video app Vine. Axios cites multiple sources that Musk has ordered engineers at the company to reboot Vine before the year ends. He's tasked engineers to look at the app's old code base, which hasn't been maintained or updated since the service shut down in 2016.

According to one source, this would need "a lot of work." A tweet from a former Vine staffer, Sara Beykpour, advises it would be better for them to start over. And it is sound advice with possible API changes, security concerns, and other elements that need maintenance.

Twitter wants to charge US$20 per month for verification

One of Elon Musk's first projects for Twitter includes an ultimatum. He wants verification (a.k.a. the blue check) to be a monthly subscription. And he wants to fold that into Twitter Blue, which he wants to significantly bump up the price from US$4.99 to US$19.99. With this plan, verified users have 90 days to subscribe to keep their verification.

Employees were reportedly told they needed to meet the November 7 deadline to launch the feature or get fired. Musk mentioned before his acquisition that he wanted to change how Twitter verifies accounts and handles bots. And it looks like this is how it wants to handle it for now.
