YouTube will bring video chapter support to game consoles, more smart TVs

Photo by Alexander Shatov on Unsplash

YouTube plans to bring its video chapters to more devices. The company announced "newer smart TVs" and "gaming consoles" are getting the feature. Video chapters allow you to skip to parts of a clip you want to watch. It's already available on smartphones, tablets, Android TV, and Apple TV set-top boxes.

YouTube didn't specify what devices are getting the feature. But for consoles, you can assume the current generation Xbox, PlayStation, and Nintendo consoles with a dedicated YouTube app. YouTube hasn't updated its dedicated support pages yet to show which devices will get, but it might be because the feature is rolling out slowly.

instax mini 11 BTS 'Butter' edition is coming to Canada this month

Fujifilm has partnered with K-pop superstars BTS to redesign the instax mini 11 to come in the bright yellow colour of its chart-topping hit, Butter. The instant camera also gets the jewel graphics and heart motifs seen on the single. Fujifilm has also launched a matching instax mini BTS "Butter" instant film that features a yellow border decorated with the Butter heart emblem. The camera is priced at $129.99, while the film costs $14.99. Both are expected to be available on Fujifilm Canada's website later this month.

The instax mini 11 comes equipped with features like Automatic Exposure and Selfie Mode. The former allows the camera to detect the light level instantly when you press the shutter button. It'll then optimize the shutter speed and flash output based on your environment. The latter lets you check your reflection with the lens's front-end edge before taking your photo.

You don't have to worry about losing unused data every month, and you'll only pay for the data, calls, and text you use. You can buy data any time you need it. But you will need to bring your own device to sign up for the service. You can learn more here.

Features we love on the new Kobo Libra 2 including access to audiobooks

Post & photos by Sonya Davidson

When we travelled (remember that?) I had always popped in my Kobo eReader into my carry on bag. It began as a way to lighten up my load in my travel bag. Made sense, it was a thin and more efficient way of taking my favourite beach reads without the bulk. It’s amazing how far the eReaders have come. Just when you think you’re good with what you have along comes the most recent version that offers even more flexibility and technology for your reading pleasure. Recently, the Kobo Libra 2 was introduced.
