Twitter is thinking about adding emoji reactions to tweets

Direct messages on Twitter already offer emoji reactions, but it looks like the social network is considering adding this feature to tweets. The company has been sending out surveys to a few users asking them about their opinions on adding a new reaction system to Twitter. The approach is similar to what you can do on Facebook posts.

In the survey, Twitter shows mockups of the system and asks users what they would prefer. The reactions included are Like, Funny, Interesting, Sad, Awesome, Support, and Angry. The Awesome and Support responses have the option of either a surprised face or fire emoji for the former and the hugging emoji or raised hands for the latter.

Slack revises new DM feature to prevent potential for harassment

Slack backtracks on a new direct message feature that someone could potentially abuse. The company will no longer let paid users email customized direct messages alongside an invite for someone to chat on the platform. The concern is that someone could use it to send abusive or nasty language to someone else through email notifications.

While you can block abusers' emails on your email client, these invites are forwarded by Slack using the feedback@slack.com address. That means you can't filter out the messages because you might miss important notifications.

Marvel pushes back Black Widow's release to July 9, simultaneous release on Disney+ and in theatres

After many delays because of the COVID-19 pandemic, Marvel Studio's Black Widow will finally come out on July 9 through a simultaneous release in theatres and Disney+ Premier Access. For those who plan to watch it on Disney's streaming service, you'll need to shell out an additional $34.99 to watch it on the same day as the theatrical release. Disney has employed this strategy with films like Raya and the Last Dragon and Mulan.

Another highly anticipated Marvel film, Shang Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, is coming out on September 3 instead of in July. We have no word yet if this will also offer Disney+ Premier Access.
