Apple will replace your 2016/2017 MacBook Pro's battery for free if it doesn't charge past 1%

If you're one of the unlucky few whose MacBook Pros won't charge past 1%, Apple can replace the battery for you without any charges. Laptops affected by this issue will show the "Recommended Service" message in the battery menu. According to an updated Apple support page, the 2016 or 2017 MacBook Pro models that display this message can be brought into Apple to get replaced. 

But you need to contact the company first and allow them to examine it to verify that your unit is eligible for the free replacement.

Zoom's Studio Effects lets you tweak facial features via AR

If you ever just wanted to get a bit wacky on your next Zoom weekend, there's a feature on the video conferencing app that you might not know but will want to use. Studio Effects allows you to tweak some of your facial features via augmented reality effects. So, if you want to change up your eyebrows, add a moustache, and then change these into different colours, you can do just that.

Expect wireless earbuds from OnePlus co-founder's Nothing company

Nothing will finally have something soon. The company of ex-OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei plans to release wireless earbuds as its first product this summer. Other products are expected to come out later in the year. According to Pei's interview with BloombergNothing plans to release an ecosystem of connected devices.

Amazon Prime Video to support Canadian BIPOC creators with $1.25m donation

Amazon Prime Video wants to help creators who are Black, Indigenous, and people of colour (BIPOC) in the country through a $1.25 million donation. The streaming service is partnering with the Indigenous Screen Office (ISO) in Canada to help BIPOC creative community that was hard hit by the COVID-19 pandemic.
