HTC One max launches with 5.9-inch screen, global release seen by mid-October

If there was any doubt that 2013 is the year of the supersized smartphone, then that doubt's been effectively dispelled as HTC throws its hat into the ring with the HTC One max. Bringing the experience of the highly regarded HTC One flagship up a few sizes, the One Max is outfitted with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 600, 1.7GHz quad-core CPU, 2GB of RAM, 16 or 32GB of storage and added expansion via microSD. The Max runs Android 4.3 with HTC Sense 5.5, HTC BlinkFeed.

Review: Sphero 2.0

Sphero 2.0 is the sequel to the innovative robotic ball that one can control with their iOS or Android device. We recently had a chance to check out Sphero 2.0 as well as test this very promising high-tech toy that also involves various levels of traditional outdoor play.

Sphero 2.0 is an update to last year's model and is reportedly 2x faster, 3x brighter, and 'smarter'. Sphero 2.0 rolls at speeds of up to 7 feet per second and pairs to your device via Bluetooth with a range of up to 100 feet.

Review: Chromecast

Google's Chromecast is a tiny HDMI-dongle that is actually a media streaming accessory. It plugs into any HDMI port on your HDTV and has its own power adapter. Once you assign it to your WiFi network, you can use any Android or iOS mobile device as well as any PC or Mac to stream YouTube, NetFlix and Google Play videos, photos or music.
