Incipio acquires Braven, expands portfolio to include rugged bluetooth speakers

Two of the most progressive names in high-tech and mobile accessories are joining forces. INCIPIO Technologies Inc., designer and manufacturer of award winning mobile device accessories, today announced the acquisition of privately held BRAVEN LC. Founded in 2011 and headquartered in Provo, Utah, BRAVEN is an emerging mobile device accessories company specializing in wireless audio products and is the first company to produce a portable HD speaker/speakerphone that doubles as a mobile phone charger.

Microsoft retiring Zune Marketplace on Aug. 22

Joining the impending demise of Microsoft Points, the Zune Marketplace is also going to be retired by August 22. Microsoft posted a FAQ on the Xbox site talking about the upcoming changes and encourages its users to use up their remaining points as there would be no use for them past the 22^nd. For future service, Microsoft wants users to turn to Xbox Music and Video.
