Displace TV has vacuum suctions to stick on any surface

Source: Displace

One of the more ambitious products we've seen at CES 2023 is a new television called the Displace TV. This wireless 55-inch 4K OLED TV features an active-loop vacuum technology to suction itself into place. So, you can stick it to any wall or glass in your home. There are handles built into the frame, so it's easier to lift. According to the company, each unit weighs less than 20 pounds.

It also has four hot-swappable onboard batteries, eliminating the need for a power cord. You can swap out the batteries even as someone is watching TV. The company hasn't shared information on battery size and charge time, but its representatives said you can expect around a month's use if you watch six hours of TV daily.

Apple's mixed reality headset might debut this spring

Apple might be ready to launch its long-rumoured mixed reality headset soon. Bloomberg's Mark Gurman reports that the headset will debut this spring ahead of the Worldwide Developers Conference in June and will start shipping in the fall.

The headset is expected to cost as much as US$3,000, offering both virtual and augmented reality experiences using Apple's new xrOS operating system. Apple has reportedly shown off this Reality Pro-branded device to a "small number of high-profile" developers, so there will be third-party apps for it. But there are still "many kinks to work out" on the device, Gurman claims. And this has slowed down the development of other Apple projects and products.

JBL's new TWS earbuds have a touchscreen case

Source: JBL

JBL introduces a new pair of true wireless earbuds with an LED touchscreen display on the charging case. (Yes, similar to what we've seen on the HP Poly Voyager Free 60 Plus!) The new Tour Pro 2 earbuds have what JBL claims is the "world's first smart charging case." The 1.45-inch LED touchscreen on the case offers music and call control and access to social media and message notifications. JBL says this will keep you from looking at your phone. Of course, that's thinking you have the case within reach.

Meanwhile, the earbuds themselves are built as flagship earbuds. The Tour Pro 2 has adaptive active noise cancellation with an ambient sound mode, 10mm drivers, spatial audio, and JBL's Pro sound. Personi-fi 2.0 lets you customize the audio profile to suit your listening habit. And there's an ear tip fit test to ensure proper fit. For calls, there are six microphones onboard with JBL's VoiceAware tech.
