LG Signature OLED M3 is a 97-inch 'wireless' TV

Source: LG

LG's new 'world's first' 4K television is missing a few things. It gets rid of most of its wires. The 97-inch LG Signature OLED M3 is a high-quality, massive panel with speakers and a power cable. It gets audio and video wirelessly from LG's new Zero Connect box, which you can place in your home up to 30 feet away. The tech company claims the box offers "real-time video and audio transmission at up to 4K 120Hz." It comes with three HDMI 2.1 ports, so you can plug your next-generation game console, 4K Blu-ray player, and the like into it. LG hasn't elaborated on latency, so gaming may be hit or miss here. But it does have an NVIDIA G-Sync certification.

This premium TV might appeal to you if you want to live that minimal wires life. LG promises better video quality through its Zero Connect technology. It claims to use a new algorithm "to minimize transmission errors or disruptions," from people and pets moving in the room. It also supports Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos, and voice commands. Expect to spend an exorbitant amount on the LG Signature OLED M3. LG hasn't revealed pricing yet, but it'll be expensive.

ASUS ROG has a new Xbox controller with a customized OLED screen

Source: ASUS ROG

ASUS brings its love for adding small screens on its devices to a new Republic of Gamers controller. The ASUS ROG Raikiri Pro has a 1.3-inch customizable OLED screen that can show info like charging status, microphone mute, and active profile. Or you can go the cosmetic route and show animations, text, and images. This Xbox- and Windows-ready peripheral is the first-licensed Xbox controller to get "tri-mode" connections, meaning you can use Bluetooth, RF, or USB-C. If you want to use it wirelessly, that's only available through the PC. Xbox support is only through USB.

ASUS ROG even amps its audio with an ESS DAC for its 3.5mm headset jack. As for gamepad controls, there's the familiar Xbox layout, four programmable rear buttons, sensitivity toggles, and similar commands. Top buttons let you switch profiles mid-play and trigger locks can limit the amount of travel. The ASUS Armoury Crate PC app lets you remap the buttons, adjust joystick sensitivity, and enable dead zones, vibrations, and other finer points. ASUS hasn't revealed pricing yet, but it's coming in the first quarter of the year.
