'Ted Lasso' characters are coming to FIFA 23

Fans of Ted Lasso and the FIFA games will love this update from EA Sports. The developer confirmed that AFC Richmond and its beloved Coach Lasso would be playable characters in FIFA 23. This final installment in the series is coming out on September 30. We should expect characters like Roy Kent, Jamie Tartt, Sam Obisanya, and Dani Rojas.

According to EA, players can use different game modes to become Ted Lasso or AFC Richmond, including Career Mode, Kickoff, Online Seasons, and Online Friendlies. The release will include customizable kits for the fictional football club and tifos (a.k.a. the card and/or banner displays in the stands). Yes, it'll also feature the world-famous Nelson Stadium. You can opt to have Ted Lasso head AFC Richmond or a different team in FIFA. You can also select a different coach for the Greyhounds or make your manager or player from scratch to join the team.

'Diablo IV' test build leaks gameplay footage

Yes, there are more gameplay leaks to report today. This time, it's Blizzard's upcoming Diablo IV game. A Reddit user going by iV1rus0 noticed footage of the game appearing on a file-sharing website and shared the said link. It contains gameplay spread across two clips that clocked in at 43 minutes.

They look like footage from a Discord stream. The videos are watermarked, denoting these are from a private test build. Computer-moduleated voices in the video claim the viewers are tuning into a Skyrim session even if it clearly shows that the footage is from an early build of a Diablo game. Blizzard hasn't responded to the leak, but then sent out a PR advertising a confidential closed-end game beta. Perhaps trying to soften the blow of the leak. Diablo IV doesn't have a concrete release date yet, but it's expected sometime in 2023. Hopefully, the leak won't impact its development.

There's a Baby Yoda Tamagotchi

Source: Bandai Namco

This feels like something that should've been around longer. But now, we finally get it. There's a Tamagotchi version of Grogu a.k.a. Baby Yoda. You take care of the little guy by feeding him squid chowder and macarons and play mini-games. You can unlock a bunch of outfits for Grogu.

But be warned, you shouldn't overfeed him. Apparently, "if you feed the Grogu Tamagotchi too much squid chowder, the squid will jump on him." According to Bandai Namco, the Grogu Tamagotchi will be available for preorder on Amazon "soon."

iPhone 14 Pro users are experiencing CarPlay phone call troubles

Source: Apple

A bug seems to be affecting the iPhone 14 Pro line. Some of the early adopters are reporting issues with being heard at a suitable volume when phone calls are initiated via CarPlay in a vehicle. Some of the reports claim that after they call someone via CarPlay with either an iPhone 14 Pro or Pro Max, their voice sounded quiet or far away on the receiving end of the call.

The complaints seem to be coming from iPhone 14 Pro users running iOS 16.0.1, but someone has mentioned trouble with the standard iPhone 14. Downgrading to iOS 16 doesn't seem to solve the issue. MacRumors reported that this problem doesn't seem to show up through a regular hands-free Bluetooth call, but they have replicated the issue if coursed through wired CarPlay. Hopefully, this gets resolved soon.
