Take-Two started filing takedown requests of 'GTA VI' leaked footage

GTA V (Source: Rockstar Games)

Earlier this week, footage of Grand Theft Auto VI started to show up online. A user on the GTA Forums posted a 3GB file full of 90 videos of GTA VI footage. It's not clear how the footage was obtained, but the "teapotuberhacker" poster says they are behind the unrelated Uber hack. If that's true, then they're connected to Lapsus$. Either way, they claim that they may "leak more data soon," including GTA V and GTA VI source code, assets, and testing builds.

Rockstar Games owner Take-Two has started filing takedown requests for leaked footage hosted on YouTube. Many remain online, though. Some of the videos show a new female playable character, which has been talked about earlier in the year. GTA VI is expected to get a female protagonist influenced by Bonnie and Clyde. The game is still at least two years away, and this leak shows footage that's from early, unfinished builds and testing of some parts of the game.

Sony PS5 with detachable disc drive rumoured for 2023 launch

Source: Sony

Sony might be looking to slim down the PlayStation 5 more. The company is rumoured to be working on a slimmer PS5 that ditches the built-in disc driver for a detachable one. Of course, it's going to bed sold separately, at least according to rumours. Everything else, though, will stay the same.

The upside of the detachable disc drive is existing PS5 users who don't have one or damage the one in their machines can purchase this version. Unsurprisingly, Sony hasn't confirmed the rumours. But this version of the PS5 is expected to come out in September 2023.

Image: Steamforged Games

If you're a fan of Elden Ring, you might be intrigued by its upcoming tabletop version. Steamforged Games announced it would adapt the title into a board game. According to Mat Hart, the co-founder of the company, "fans should expect a dark, richly-realized tabletop world of mystery and peril, with satisfying combat and rewarding exploration."

There aren't that many details on the game for now, but you can expect a combat system that doesn't involve dice rolling. You can play the game with up to three friends or by yourself. Steamforged plans to share more details about the project when it brings the game to Kickstarter.
