117 new emojis will be available later this year

The new emojis for 2020 have been decided. There will be a total of 117 new characters all in all, with Android getting 62 and Apple devices getting all of them. These new emojis will arrive when Google and Apple launch Android 11 and iOS 14, respectively.

Emoji Version 13.0, as it has been dubbed by the Unicode Consortium, is a bit more inclusive with emojis like the transgender flag, Mx Claus, and person in tuxedo, person holding baby, etc. There are also black cats, a smiley face with a tear, milk tea, and many more. You can check out the full list here.

Google Podcasts now has an 'Add to playlist' button, but it doesn't seem to work yet

Google seems to have finally responded to complaints of its Podcasts app's users. The app now appears to have an "Add to playlist" button. But there are caveats to it. One, the button doesn't seem to work yet. Two, it doesn't show up for all users at the moment. Android Police speculates that it's tied with the recent beta update of the app, and the feature doesn't seem to be enabled yet. At the very least, we now know that it's on Google's agenda to bring the queueing feature to users. Perhaps it can now go up against the likes of Spotify and Pocket Casts as the podcast app of choice.

Samsung Galaxy S20's 64MP tele camera won’t be for 4-in-1 pixel binning, but will be for 8K video

Rumour has it the 64-megapixel telephoto sensor on the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S20 and S20+ won't be used for pixel-binned 4-in-1 16-megapixel photos. And that it'll offer 8K video support, likely at 8K@30fps. The Galaxy S20 and S20+ rumoured specs sheet claims the two phones will offer 3x optical zoom and up to 30x digital zoom. And it seems the zoom will be of the lossless variety as it'll crop actual pixels from the sensor. These are all speculation for now, unfortunately. So, information might come out differently when the flagships launch next month.
