Google tipped to be building its own take to Snapchat’s Discover feature

Everyone seems to have some sort of Snapchat Stories-like feature in its services. And it looks like Google is looking to build the same thing but with a slight twist. The focus will be on having news publishers create Snapchat-like stories to appear on its search engine. It’ll look similar to Snapchat’s Discover section that shows a mix of photos, videos, and text. According to The Wall Street Journal, it’ll be supposedly called “Stamp” with the “St” meaning stories. Not much is known about these rumoured plans but The Verge speculates it might be seen beneath the search bar, where Android users are already being shown things like recommended websites and news stories.

Bose might have accidentally leaked upcoming/unreleased headphones via email newsletter

It looks like Bose’s team in charge of sending out its email newsletter might have let a secret slip. Some keen-eyed recipients of the company’s email newsletter noticed something odd about the featured image, which you can see above. It looks like the company’s noise-cancelling QC35 headphones but upon deeper inspection it features a button that isn’t there on said headset. People are starting to speculate that this could be a new iteration of the QC35. It might be due an upgrade as the original one came out in June last year.

Mitsubishi discontinues its I-MiEV EV initiative due to poor sales

Mitsubishi is reportedly discontinuing its i-MiEV hatchback Electric Vehicle due to poor sales.

Green Car Reports got an official statement from Erica Rasch at Mitsubishi Motors North America who confirmed that “2017 was the last model year for the i-MiEV, and all available retail units have been sold.” This is surprising news given the surge in interest in EVs. Nissan's best-selling Leaf EV is re-upping an all new design for 2018 (plus more range), the Chevy Bolt EV has been met with accolades this year and Tesla seems unstoppable now that it has finally started shipping the Model 3.

None of those might have been made possible without the Mitsubishi i-MiEV which predated most mass-produced EVs. Mitsubishi started selling them in 2007.
