Google Pixel 4 prototype spotted out in the wild

And by wild, we mean the streets of London. Earlier this week, Google made an unprecedented move and showed off the design of the Pixel 4 itself. Now, the phone is being spotted out in the wild. An anonymous tipster shared with 9to5Google what looks to be the Pixel 4, complete with that squircle rear camera setup. The tipster confirmed that the front of the device has two cameras like the Pixel 3 XL and has a “large forehead.” The phone is expected to launch in October, but with Google pulling off its publicity stunt, some suggest it might come out sooner. Here’s to hoping we learn more from Google about the device than from leakers this time.

Existing Xbox One owners wouldn’t have to worry about upgrading to the Project Scarlett console. Once this next-generation console launches, existing games, controllers, and accessories of the Xbox One will work with it. Phil Spencer, head of Xbox, said during Microsoft’s Inside Xbox E3 event, “We thought out our design for Project Scarlett, we definitely wanted to make sure that we were compatible across all the generations. Not just with the games, but the accessories. It’s really us respecting the purchases gamers have made on our platform.” And yes, it’ll also work with the upcoming Xbox Elite 2 controller. The Project Scarlett console is expected to arrive in the fall of 2020 alongside the new Halo Infinite game.

Samsung Galaxy Fit and Fit-e are now available in Canada

Samsung’s lightweight fitness trackers—the Galaxy Fit and Galaxy Fit-e—are now available in the country. Both trackers are designed to keep track of your workouts without weighing you down. Both bands come with MIL-STD-810G ruggedness, Bluetooth 5 support, and Samsung’s FreeRTOS software. The Galaxy Fit comes with a 0.95-inch full-color AMOLED screen and runs on a Cortex M33F processor. Unlike the Galaxy Fit-e, it lets you interact with your notifications. It also has a larger 120mAh battery, which Samsung says can last for seven to eight days on a single charge. The Galaxy Fit retails for CA$149.99.

Now, if you just want a fitness tracker, the more affordable Fit-e comes with a smaller monochrome display and a 70mAh battery. Battery life is roughly the same since you get a smaller screen that isn’t coloured. The Galaxy Fit-e goes for CA$69.99.

The ‘Dark Crystal’ prequel will become a turn-based strategy game on the Nintendo Switch

Last month, Netflix announced a prequel to Jim Henson’s film The Dark Crystal. Now, it seems that isn’t the only way we’re going to experience the 10-episode series. It’s getting a tie-in, turn-based strategy game for the Nintendo Switch. Called Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance Tactics, players control squads of units taken from the Dark Crystal’s universe and make moves on a grid-based battlefield. The game is being developed by BonusXP, which was the team behind the Stranger Things tie-in game. You can expect Age of Resistance Tactics to come out later this year. The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance is coming out on Netflix on August 30th.
