ASUS ROG Phone 2 will get the same refresh rate as the Razer Phone series

ASUS Republic of Gamers is going after Razer’s gaming smartphone line. According to a post on the ASUS ROG Weibo page, the ROG Phone 2 will now have a 120Hz refresh rate. And the Chinese fighting game Under The One Man will support the new refresh rate, with other compatible titles coming out at a later date. Tencent has partnered with the company to optimize its games for this device. The original ROG Phone had a 90Hz refresh rate for its Full HD OLED display. We don’t know right now if the new phone will use an OLED or LCD panel. At this moment, the only Android phones that offer 120Hz capabilities are the Razer Phones, and these use Sharp IGZO LCD screens. The ASUS ROG Phone 2 is expected to launch in China this July.

Nintendo delays the release of ‘Animal Crossing: New Horizons’ to March 2020

Animal Crossing fans might not like this Nintendo announcement. The company revealed at its E3 2019 presentation that the release of the game on the Switch will be pushed back to March 20, 2020. It was originally supposed to launch this year. Nintendo said in a statement, “We must ask you to wait a little later than we thought.”

What we get for now is a first look at the game. The game is set on a deserted island where you work to build a home and life for your character. It looks like animal neighbours will move in as you clean up the island. Crafting seems to be a part of this game as players work to make their own tools and items.

Google leaks the Pixel 4’s design months before its official launch

Google wants the speculation surrounding the Pixel 4 to stop. Its solution? Leak the phone’s design itself. The phone is expected to come out in October, but does this move suggest we’re getting the new phone sooner? Instead of letting leaks or accidental reveals dominate the news, the company decided to tease the phone itself. We see the leak about the big camera module being accurate. The Pixel 4 looks like it has two-rear facing cameras with the flash at the bottom and some sort of pinhole above that we aren’t sure what that could be.

As Wired says, while this move is unusual, it won’t necessarily make that much of a difference. Google’s focus has always been on trying to sell the Android experience. And showing off the design of the phone won’t affect that. A recent report suggests the phone will get hand gesture support. It’s also being rumoured to get some sort of iPhone-like TrueTone display white balance adjustments. But for now, we wouldn’t know for sure. Guess we have to wait and see what surprising move Google pulls off next.
