Deepfakes technology and AI bring Salvador Dali back as a museum assistant

Modern art master and leading figure of the Surrealist movement, Salvador Dali passed away over 30 years ago. The Spanish artist had himself cryogenically frozen hoping that science of the future and technology could bring him back. Dali believed that the world needs geniuses and artists and feared 'the loss of Dali.' Sadly, science isn't at a point were we can revive the dead, but technology can at least fool us into believing that we can.

Using Deepfakes technology (which gained notoriety by superimposing celebrity faces onto porn actors'), Artificial Intelligence, old footage and voice recordings of Salvador Dali as well as an actor to serve as a motion-capture subject, Dali is indeed back. Appearing inside a mirror to greet guests at the Salvador Dali Museum in St. Petersburg, Florida, the Dali AI interacts with guests with over 45 mins of new footage.

‘Predator: Hunting Ground’ is multiplayer game coming to the PS4 in 2020

The team behind the Friday the 13th game is making a new Predator game for the PlayStation 4—and it’s coming out next year. IllFonic announced at PlayStation State of Play that they are working on Predator: Hunting Ground, a competitive, online multiplayer experience. One group in the game will control the firepower and attempt to do paramilitary missions, while one player will be controlling the Predator. According to the developers, it’s working closely with Fox and Sony Interactive Entertainment to bring this movie franchise’s world into the game. IllFonic promises there will be surprises for everyone once the game arrives in 2020.

‘Avengers: Endgame’ gets ‘Spider-Man: Far From Home’ trailer as its post-credits scene

If you were waiting for a “proper” post-credits scene for Avengers: Endgame and was disappointed, then here’s some news for you. The epic finale to the Infinity Saga finally gets a post-credits scene. Now, if you’re a fan, you’ve probably already seen it, though. Endgame’s new post-credits scene is the second trailer for Spider-Man: Far From Home. And if you’ve seen it, you know it’s full of spoilers and Easter eggs about Endgame, so it seems like a proper thing to tack onto the end of the film. So, if you’re catching Endgame for the first time or heading into theatres for the nth time, then now you know you can stay to the end for a post-credits scene.
