This chapter takes place sometime after The Last Jedi, where Leia Organa’s (the late Carrie Fisher) Resistance movement was forced to go on the run by the First Order. It opens with the idea that “Every generation has a legend.” It sets up Rey (Daisy Ridley) as the one for this generation, it seems.

It comes in a much thinner frame this time at 19.9mm thin. Its brushed metal exterior provides that sleek, cool look to it. It has a 15.6-inch 1080p IPS panel with a 144Hz refresh rate and 3ms response. To avoid overheating as you game hard, you get dual fans, CoolBoost tech, and dual exhaust port. It has two slots available for M.2 Gen 3x4 PCIe SSDs and up to 2TB of HDD storage. You can configure it to have up to 32GB of RAM. Pricing for the Acer Nitro 7 starts at US$999.9 (around CA$1,300).

The new Acer TravelMate P6 promises a 20-hour battery life

Acer is giving mobile workers a sturdy new laptop to work with. The TravelMate P6 promises solid performance and a really long battery life. The company is pegging this will have a 20-hour battery life. It’s covered in magnesium alloy and remains non-descript, which is ideal for more buttoned-up corporate settings. It’s a 14-inch machine that’s just 0.65 inches thick. And with MIL-SPEC certification, it can handle a bit of roughing up as you lug it around.

When it comes to security, it has an integrated fingerprint reader and web cam with built-in shutter. Aside from an exceptionally long battery life, you can charge it up to 50 percent in 20 minutes or reach 100 percent in around two hours.
