Twitter tests ‘reply moderation’ feature for threads

Security researcher Jane Manchun Wong discovered a yet-to-be-launched feature on Twitter that some are referring to as a “double-edged sword.” The social network is testing out a “replies moderation” tool, which lets you hide replies under your tweets. At the same time, it provides the option to show the hidden replies to other users. One Twitter user who replied to Wong said this move could spread disinformation while creating a bias. Wong replied in Twitter’s defense that in cases when people in power do hide tweets, it would be another way for people to “call them out.” But as another user points out, “user lazyness” might prevent people from seeing these hidden replies.

As The Next Web points out, this does seem like users are being given the responsibility to moderate their own content instead of Twitter controlling what happens on its platform. The social network is under a lot of pressure to clean up its service, and if used properly, hiding unsavory content might help create a safer environment for its users. But as mentioned, it could backfire and spread misinformation and create a bias.

Samsung rolls out Bixby remapping for older Galaxy flagships

Samsung lets Galaxy S10 users remap the Bixby button to launch third-party apps. Now, if you’re using an S8, S8 Plus, S9, S9 Plus, Note8, or Note9, you’ll finally get the feature, too. That is if you have Samsung Android Pie/One Touch UI software running on your Galaxy flagship phone. There’s also one more caveat. You won’t be able to remap the Bixby button to launch another voice assistant like Google Assistant or Cortana.

As we previously reported, you can’t disable Bixby entirely, either. What you can do is select which other third-party apps it can launch. You can configure it to launch either with a single or double press. The option you don’t choose will launch Bixby. And if you press and hold on the Bixby button, it’ll always launch Bixby.

Latest 'Dark Phoenix' trailer shows off a threat greater than Apocalypse

The latest installment to the X-Men saga on screen continues with X-Men: Dark Phoenix which shows our favourite team of mutants faced off with one of their own. Jean Greay (Sophie Turner) may have only been introduced in X-Men : Age of Apocalypse where she served as the trump card that helped take down Oscar Isaac's uncomfortable super villain Apocalypse.

Fast-forward to the 90's, and it looks like the X-Men are set to re-live one of their most traumatic chapters in the Dark Phoenix Sage where Jean Grey goes completely mad and unleashes the destructive power of The Dark Phoenix.
