Instagram takes cues from Pinterest with new feature called Collections

If you’ve been saving random photos on Instagram haphazardly, the social network now wants to help you organize them with a new feature. Called Collections, you can now organize your saved posts in a way that makes sense to you. It’s rather similar to how Pinterest does things. But instead of collecting everything you find online, this is limited to what you find on Instagram and these collections are kept private so others won’t see what you’ve been saving.

When you save a post now, you’ll either get the option to create a new collection or add it to an existing collection. For organizing the posts you already have, you can head to your saved posts and tap on the plus icon in the upper right. The feature should be rolling out to both iOS and Android apps now.

Puzzle game ‘Fez’ coming to iOS this year

Polytron just announced that its indie puzzle game Fez is finally making its way to mobile devices, specifically they’re singling out the iOS platform. In the short teaser for the game, you see it through an iPad’s screen. First released on the Xbox 360 back in 2012, it has been ported to other platforms like PC, Mac, Sony PlayStation 3 and PS4, and Linux. This will be the first time it’ll be coming to mobile. No word yet for Android but we’re hoping it’s going to show up soon, too.

Only a few Windows-powered phones will be getting the Creators Update

While almost all Windows 10 PCs can download the Creators Update, that doesn’t seem to be the case for Windows 10 Mobile. Just like what has happened before when Microsoft dropped a lot of Windows Phone 7 from the switch to Windows Phone 8 and even from Windows Phone 8 to 10. A handful of Windows 10 Mobile devices will also only be getting the Creators Update. These include Lumia 550 and above, Alcatel Idol 4S, HP Elite X3, and VAIO Phone Biz, among a few others.  

The reason is Microsoft wants to set performance expectations for the update. According to Microsoft’s Dona Sarka, there have been complaints about Windows not offering the “best possible experience” on older devices, which means your older device might not be able to handle the Creators Update and not offer you the experience you expect it can provide for you.

Google Allo releases sticker pack for NBA playoffs

Commemorating the ongoing NBA playoffs, Google Allo launched a new sticker pack. With 23 stickers, the pack shows various cartoonized players doing basketball-related things that can be applied to your conversations.
