Review: JBL SoundBoost Speaker Moto Mod

There's no shortage of affordable and multifunctional Bluetooth speakers that can overcome the weakness of most laptops, smartphones and tablets which is tiny, tinny and bad sounding speakers. Lenovo's Moto Z line of smartphones come with decent built-in speakers but they aren't stereo speakers like the ones that came with the Moto X Pure edition.

The JBL SoundBoost Speaker aims to make up for this. This Moto Mod, snaps magnetically on the the back of the Moto Z and Moto Z Play where it automatically routes any audio. This works so seamlessly that when you're listening to music on your phone and you pop in the JBL SoundBoost Speaker, it suddenly comes to life on the SoundBoost Speaker.

Samsung sets up booths at some airport for Galaxy Note7

As you well know, Samsung Galaxy Note7’s are now banned from US and Canadian aircrafts (among other airlines). Hoping you won’t become phone-less after having to leave the Note7 behind, Samsung is setting up pop-up booths at “some of the most frequently visited airports” in the US and around the world to exchange or refund Galaxy Note7 devices. There’s already a booth at San Francisco International Airport as well as airports in South Korea and Australia.

Twitter gives new VR head the boot after 24 hours

Well, that didn’t take too long. Twitter hired and then soon fired former AngelHack CEO Gregory Gopman. How soon? It took less than a day. Gopman was supposed to come onboard as the social network’s VR program manager. However, he claims a TechCrunch article that detailed his controversial rants back in 2013 about San Francisco’s homeless had sent him packing.

The app also lets you find Western Union agents around the world.  It is available on both Android and iOS.
