Upcoming ‘Pokémon Go’ updates promise to be more respectful of real-world places

Pokémon Go has taken the world by storm and with that an influx of people in popular areas and sometimes even outside someone’s home. And some of these Gyms and PokeStops hope they can opt out. Right now, you can request a removal of a Gym or PokeStop but that isn’t a quick solution. The Pokémon Company’s J.C. Smith said they are working on new features that are “appealing to fans but also respectful of the private institutions that are affected by it.” You’ve heard of businesses capitalizing on the craze but it’s understandable that some notable landmarks would rather not be part of this including the Holocaust Museum in Washington D.C. and the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park in the U.S.

Marvel isn’t splitting ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ into two films

Disney/Marvel

Marvel is finally hearing our gripes about this whole two-part movie trend that has been happening since Harry Potter decided to split its final film into a two-part film. The upcoming Avengers film will still be coming out on May 4, 2018 and May 3, 2019 but it won’t be two parts of the same story. The film coming out in 2018 will still be Avengers: Infinity War but the second film drops the Infinity War – Part II moniker. We don’t know yet what it’ll be called (right now it's just Avengers Untitled) but we’re relieved that it won’t be just the continuation of what is in Infinity War. Of course, knowing Marvel there will be a central story running through them. But we welcome the change.

Microsoft creates ‘smarter’ camera app for the iPhone

Microsoft’s Research team is at it again with a new app for the iPhone. This time, the tech company claims the Microsoft Pix can take better shots than the default iPhone app. This “smarter camera app” makes use of artificial intelligence to do things like adjust camera settings, automatically enhance shots, and choose which image is the best out of a burst of photos. The app has more automatic enhancements for focus, color, and exposure if it sees people in the photo. Microsoft Pix also has a Live Photos-like feature that stitches together burst frames and creates a looping video.

You can see the difference between the original and enhanced shots with a toggle button within the app. The app is already available for free download on the App Store.
