Full STEAM ahead for Season 2 of Netflix's Project Mc2 aimed at tween girls

When the creators of Project Mc2 started shaping up the series they had a goal in mind. To show girls around the world that science, technology, engineering, art and math (STEAM) is everywhere in our everyday lives and that it all can be relatable and fun. They also wanted to show that it's a realm that doesn't have one stereotypical image but yes, you can be pretty, funny, sporty and still be smart because "smart is the new cool."

Season 1 launched in August 2015 exclusive to Netflix aimed at girls in the tween years. The spy mini-series followed four teens from various backgrounds and interests who form a spy agency NOV8 ("innovate") and use their super sleuthing abilities to help solve mysteries. With a chief intelligent agent (played by real life STEM advocate Danica McKellar of the Wonder Years) they set out on missions to save the day.
